COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Winter weather in other parts of the country has caused delays in the shipment of COVID-19 vaccines, including second doses. The Florida Department of Health in Collier County (DOH-Collier) should have an update over the next several days.
Once there is confirmation of incoming doses, DOH-Collier will notify residents to schedule an appointment.
Per CDC Guidelines, the second dose of both the Pfizer and of the Moderna vaccine may be administered up to 6 weeks (42 days) after the first dose. https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/info-by-product/clinicalconsiderations.html#Booster-doses
The DOH-Collier call center is available Monday-Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The call center can be reached at (239) 252-6220.
