TSA screening officer tests positive for coronavirus

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL, Fla. — A TSA screening officer at Southwest Florida International Airport has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Transportation and Safety Administration says 47 screening officers and nine non-screening employees have tested positive for the virus within the past 14 days.

TSA says it is working with the CDC, state and health departments to monitor local situations.
