FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. — The Town of Fort Myers Beach will now require masks inside of businesses.
At a council meeting on Wednesday, leaders also voted to keep beaches open without additional parking restrictions.
Mayor Ray Murphy tells FOX 4 he does not agree with decisions made at Wednesday's town council meeting.
But, he believes the new mask ordinance is a step in the right direction.
An individual not wearing a mask inside of the town's businesses can face a $50 fine.
Businesses not enforcing the requirement can be fined $500.
The mask requirement goes into effect tomorrow.
FOX 4's Rob Manch will have the full story at 6PM.
