COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — The Naples Police Department turned away 400 people last night despite the order in place to close city beaches.

City of Naples officials made the decision on March 18th to close City beaches based on CDC guidelines and Governor DeSantis’s Executive Order 20-68.

Naples Police say they are going to continue to step up their efforts to enforce the beach closure.

Those who fail to abide by the order in place could receive a Notice to Appear in court, which may include a fine of up to $500.
