PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. — A man was electrocuted Thursday afternoon while trimming trees.

According to Charlotte Fire, the man was in a bucket truck on McQueeney Avenue and Briarwood Street.

At this time, officials are not sure if the man's body or the lift that he was in made contact with a nearby power line.

FPL was contacted to cut power to that line.

That's when the man's body was recovered.

Charlotte Fire says the man was 60 and worked for Martinez Sod.
