ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Governor Ron DeSantis held two press conferences today regarding COVID-19.
During the press conference earlierDeSantis said that state parks will reopen May 4th.
DeSantis said the parks being open will be beneficial for Floridians' peace of mind. He said the parks are an important part of the quality of life for residents in the state.
The plan called Safe. Smart.Step-By-Step plan includes several phases.
The first phase will allow some businesses to begin opening on May 4th.
As of Wednesday, Florida has more than 33,000 Coronavirus cases, more than 5,400 hospitalizations, and more than 1,200 deaths, according to DOH.
