FORT MYERS, Fla. — Governor DeSantis announced the Florida Division of Emergency Management will receive more than 400,000 Abbott BinaxNow 15-minute rapid tests from HHS, and more than 6 million tests by the end of the year.

The state has set aside 60,000 in its first allocation, and rapid testing has begun at state-supported testing sites. Results are free to Florida residents, regardless of age and symptom, and results are typically available within an hour.
