CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The Wellington Academy in South Cape Coral has closed due to COVID-19 concerns.

An office administrator confirms that a teacher notified them that she might have come into contact with a person who was exposed to the virus.

The teacher has talked to health care providers and is not being tested at this time unless she starts to exhibit symptoms. She was told to self-quarantine for 14 days.

The school had already put precautions in place and is currently having additional cleaning while closed.

Wellington Academy currently plans to reopen on April 14th.
