Collier County cancels majority of COVID-19 testing events

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Collier County has canceled COVID-19 testing for a majority of its scheduled events in order to begin distributing the COVID-19 vaccine.

The health department said one testing event will be held Thursday at North Collier Regional Park Soccer Fields from 9-3 p.m.

The health department began administering COVID-19 vaccines Sunday to health care workers and those over the age of 65. Vaccines will continue to be administered throughout this week.
