Cape Coral closes most customer service counters

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Effective immediately, the City of Cape Coral buildings will be closed to the general public to help limit the spread of COVID-19.

Both the Police Department lobby, located at 1100 Cultural Park Boulevard and the Public Works Annex lobby, located at 815 Nicholas Parkway East will be closed.

Beginning Tuesday, March 24, the City Hall lobby, which is located at 1015 Cultural Park Boulevard, will also be closed to the general public.

Building permits will continue to be issued to licensed contractors and individuals, by appointment or online.

Water bill payments can be made online or via telephone. Customers also can leave payments in a dropbox, which is located outside the main entrance of City Hall.

A special meeting of the Cape Coral City Council is scheduled for Monday, at 4:25 p.m. today.
