CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Cape Coral Police say over the past couple of years, Big John has received a makeover.
He has new paint and new graphics on the packages he holds. Big John’s latest updates include a mask and banner.
Big John was recently fitted with a mask and now holds a banner encouraging people to help stop the spread of COVID-19 by wearing a mask.
The update to Big John will help advertise the City of Cape Coral’s campaign “Mask Up Cape Coral. Spread the Word Not the Virus”.
The campaign will focus on the importance of wearing masks.
Most people understand social distancing, washing hands frequently, and other CDC safety recommendations can help slow the spread of the virus.
The City encourages everyone to wear cloth face coverings in public settings, especially when other social distancing measures are challenging to maintain.
