Florida added 3,190 coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of statewide infections to 661,571 since March.
State health officials on Saturday reported 98 new deaths, bringing the overall total to about 12,600.
That brings the average daily reported deaths over the past week to 113.
In the first half of August, the seven-day reported deaths average usually exceeded 170 deaths.
In recent days, state and local officials have made moves to relax some of the health safety rules put into place to prevent infection.
