LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Fort Myers Police Officers will once again be showcased during the hit TV show "COPS".

Next week, the show's crew with Langley Productions is expected to start filming within city limits, beginning on February 21st. The production is expected to last for a few weeks.

City council approved the project last month. In the past, city mayor Randy Henderson said the goal of the filming was to show the public that the police department is doing its job to keep the city safe.
