The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting in Port Charlotte that left a home and car with bullet holes.
Deputies said the shooting happened on Blanchard Avenue after someone living in the home got into a dispute with one of the shooters. No one was injured in the shooting.
"It sounded like a machine gun," one neighbor who didn't want to be identified said. "It was so fast, it was like the driveby shooting guns you see in the movies."
"It wasn't thunder, I knew that!" Adam Ozment said.
Deputies said one person in the home got into a physical fight wiht one of the shooters earlier in the day. Another person in the home watched as two men walked up to the house with a handgun and a "long gun" and started shooting.
Neighbors said they've had trouble with that home in the past.
"They've antagonized me, my pets. The kids are unruly. I hear fighting, yelling. I don't know what's going on over there. I just avoid that area," one neighbor said.
"I actually avoid walking that way with the dogs because they antagonize me," Ozment said.
No one was at the home when Four in Your Corner's Lisa Greenberg stopped by.
The Sheriff's Office is still investigating but said the public is not in danger and the situation is isolated to only those involved.
