A Cape Coral woman was sentenced to three years in prison for wire fraud after defrauding her employer.

Junipher Sayers, 34, of Cape Coral received three years in federal prison for wire fraud and she must repay more than two million dollars in restitution to her former employer, Tigrent Inc., and the government .  That represents the amount of money she stole during her elaborate scheme.

According to the plea agreement, between 2013 and 2015 Sayers carried out a sophisticated scheme where she used her job as an accounts payable clerk to steal money from her company by directing payments to several companies that she created and controlled.  She then used that money for her personal benefit.
