CAPE CORAL, FL - In the aftermath of destruction from Saturday night's tornado in Cape Coral,  one man decided to do what he could to serve the community that saw the most damage.

John DeStefano, who lives in NW Cape Coral, tells Four In Your Corner's Tony Sadiku he originally had plans to go to a friends barbeque when he turned around and decided to bring the barbeque to those who were in need.

"We're all in it together. So we wanted to come down and show our love for our town," DeStefano said.

With the help of his family, he set up a tent on the corner of Chiquita Blvd and SW 40th terrace and provided hotdogs, hamburgers and drinks so that people in this neighborhood would be able to "take a deep breath" as they try to rebuild. He said Publix also pitched in water, ice and gift cards.

DeStefano hopes that this initiative would inspire others to help those recovering from Saturday's destructive tornado.
