CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- It's cleanup day for the Reppert family. Most of the trash lined up outside their home, doesn't belong to them. His neighbors belongings are now all over his front and back yard.
"Somebody's coffee table ended up on our roof up there. The pool took a pretty good hit," Reppert said as he circled his home.
The pool took a hard enough hit to leave it filled with debris. But not hard enough to keep them out. "I got in it about every weekend. If the solar heaters on top of the roof made it, I'll probably clean it up and get in it this weekend."
Reppert was standing in his backyard when the storm came in. "It was completely dark and the lights were going off and on and pretty much we couldn't see anything." So they went to the safest room in the house. The laundry room. "I was shaking so bad I didn't realize the house was shaking as for other rooms in the house," Joe's wife Patty said.
After more than 30 hours with no power, Monday morning it was restored. And everything damaged outside their house is covered under insurance.
