LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are making one final push for support ahead of Tuesday's general election.
Fox 4 went to local campaign offices in Lee County this weekend to see what they has to say about the election.
The Trump campaign says they are working to make phone calls and demonstrating on the streets to rally support for Donald Trump. "We're trying to call as many of our volunteers and as many of our supporters as possible. We just need to make sure they understand that that one vote is so important," said one Trump supporter.
"Every vote counts. One percent will tip Florida. One percent will tip the electoral college for Hillary Clinton," said another Trump supporter.
Those over at the Clinton campaign agree. Many spent the weekend door knocking, and giving people information about where they can vote in their area.
A tight race in Florida has Clinton campaigners hoping for cooperation from both parties. "I really hope it's a time that both parties come together and we heal and we work together," said one Clinton supporter.
"I want this inclusive country, I don't want a country that's divided, and I'm hoping with Hillary we can start mending the fences," said another supporter.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 8th. And remember, your mail-in ballots must be in by close of polls on Election Day.
And Florida is very important to both presidential candidates. Several recent Florida polls show Hillary Clinton with a narrow lead over Donald Trump, and at least one poll shows the two are tied in the state.
Monday Trump will be making his way through battleground states. Monday morning he will make an appearance in Sarasota, followed by stops in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and Michigan.
His running mate, Gov. Mike Pence, will also have a busy day with five appearances scheduled in Minnesota, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire.
Hillary Clinton will also make appearances in Michigan and Pennsylvania Monday. Then Monday night in Philadelphia, former president Bill Clinton and their daughter Chelsea will join Hillary on stage. Also joining them in the city of brotherly love will be President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
Her running mate, Tim Kaine, has four appearances planned in North Carolina and Virginia. Current Vice-President Joe Biden has Florida covered, with appearances scheduled in Tallahassee and St. Petersburg.
