CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Florida Fish and Wildlife are still investigating a tragic boating death of a child in Charlotte County.
FWC reports a 7-year-old boy died following a boating accident near Stump Pass in Placida.
Officials said the boy suffered traumatic injuries Saturday when he was near the boat's propeller as the engine started.
The boy was taken to Englewood Community Hospital, where he died.
