FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Lee County Sheriff's Office says a man they considered "armed and dangerous" was captured just before 3 A.M. Thursday, ending an hours long manhunt in a Fort Myers neighborhood.
During the search for Rones Sagesse, LCSO deputies blocked off every road in and out of the Pine Manor neighborhood. Those roads are now open.
Deputies arrived at a home in the neighborhood around 7 P.M. Wednesday, in response to a 911 call about a domestic disturbance. Investigators tell Fox 4 at some point during the call, Sagesse and deputies fired shots at each other and the suspect slipped away, sparking the search.
Sagesse apparently did not make it far. Residents at a home in the 1800 block of Maple Dr. tell Fox 4, a man knocked at their door early Thursday morning. They say he had a gunshot wound to his leg and they suspected it was Sagesse. They were able to call 911, and LCSO captured him a short time later.
Four In Your Corner is still on the scene and will update this story when additional information is available.
