UPDATE (6 AM) -- A man is facing several charges after a police stand off in Fort Myers.

It happened on C Street off of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard.  Police say a woman called police around 9 PM Wednesday night saying she was arguing with her boyfriend, 34-year-old Derrick Walden, who had a gun.

When police arrived, Walden barricaded himself with his girlfriend inside the house, even trying to shoot at police a few times.

At around 3 AM Thursday, authorities discovered Walden had fallen asleep and were able to get into the house.
