FORT MYERS, Fla. - We're learning more about a history of shootings and violence at Club Blu in Fort Myers and we've also uncovered the club owner's criminal past.

Fox 4 requested documents from Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation and they outline the history of the club and the problems surrounding it.  Here is what we now know:

A police officer is now telling us they've been called out to "Club Blu" dozens of times in the past year.

We now know on May 16th, 2015 two other people were shot in the club's parking lot.  Both of those victims went to Lee Memorial Hospital.

Since January of 2015 police tell us they’ve investigated 10 other serious offenses linked to the club.  They include several incidents of aggravated assault, weapons charges and aggravated battery.

The officer tells us the shooting is likely gang-related and Sunday night’s incident began inside the club before escalating outside.

We also checked out the club's owner; he's a Fort Myers man named Rudolph Samuels.  We found Samuels was arrested back in 2004 and again in 2005. He was charged with marijuana possession and intent to sell marijuana.

Records show Samuels bought Club Blu three years ago and the club's liquor license was revoked just ten days ago, on July 15th.

Records show last year the club was also issued a violation for operating without a valid food service license.

We went to Samuels home Monday and left him messages, but so far we have not heard from him.
