NAPLES, Fla. (AP) - Two sea turtles have been released into the Gulf of Mexico after being treated for red tide poisoning and other ailments.

The Naples Daily News (https://goo.gl/P337JB ) reports that a female green and male loggerhead turtle were released Thursday at Vanderbilt Beach in Naples. They spent the past month at the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife on Sanibel.

The turtles were found off Captiva, but they were released in Naples because red tide has been prevalent near Sanibel but not Naples.
