UPDATE -- Police say the clerk involved in a McDonald's robbery that took place in Fort Myers on Monday was a co-conspirator.

He is now facing robbery and perjury charges.

Detectives say he staged the robbery with the suspect and was willing to hand over the money.

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A 14-year-old Fort Myers juvenile is facing charges this morning for an armed robbery at a Fort Myers McDonald's, and his arrest is all thanks to an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.

Police say you can see him in surveillance video from Monday, running up to the window at the McDonald's on Cleveland Avenue just as the clerk was closing the window.  He held the clerk at gunpoint, demanding all the money in the register before taking off.

Fox 4 is not identifying the teen due to his age.

Authorities say this is not the suspect's first run-in with the law.  According to Crime Stoppers, he was arrested twice for burglary at age 12.

The teen was booked downtown at the Lee County Jail on Wednesday afternoon and was turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
