Local ice cream shop prepares for 24th annual Easter egg hunt

The 24th Annual Royal Scoop Easter Egg Hunt and Games on Saturday includes 26,000 eggs stuffed and hidden, giant inflatables, face painting, ice cream eating contest, games and more during this free event for the family.

The fun begins at 10 a.m. with inflatables, games and crafts.

At 11 a.m., the egg hunt begins for 2 to 5-year-olds. Then at 11:20, the egg hunt begins for the 6 to 10-year-olds. And the Lighthouse of Collier egg hunt begins at 11:40. 

All kids can participate in relay races on the field starting at 12 p.m. At 12:30, there will be an ice cream eating contest underneath the tent by the playground. And finally at 12:50, they'll have raffle drawings and prizes awarded to the winners. Raffle tickets will be sold at the event for $1.
