The wait is finally over. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is now open in Fort Myers.
This is the first location to open here in Southwest Florida. The store opened up at 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
The first customer through the door received one free dozen Original Glazed Doughnuts every week for a year. The next 98 customers received one free dozen Original Glazed doughnuts every month for a year.
The store seats 51 people and has a 24-hour drive through.
It's located at 4904 S. Cleveland Avenue in Fort Myers.
