PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The Charlotte Arts Gallery is now open and features a variety of local artists at the Port Charlotte Town Center Mall.
The president of the Arts and Humanities Council of Charlotte County, also known as Charlotte Arts, says the new gallery was a unique idea designed to strengthen the local economy and drive more tourism to that area.
Barbara , a mall employee, says,"it's not just a shopping mall, we're trying to create an experience for our customers."
The gallery is open from Thursday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It's located at 1441 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte between J.C. Penny and Dillards.
