Summer Singer-Songwriter Competition

Fort Myers, FL - Join SBDAC and the Beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel for the Second Annual Summer Singer-Songwriter Competition! This annual event draws in original singer-songwriters from around the country to participate in winning recording time at Six Fingers Studios and a spot at the Island Hopper Songwriter Fest. 

Event day and time: Friday, 24th from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm

Circus Transformus at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre

Fort Myers, FL - Circus Transformus is a visually stunning contemporary circus performance incorporating dance, acrobatics, aerial arts, and other skilled acts. Locally produced with dozens of talented artists, Circus Transformus aims to entertain and inspire its audience to rise to the challenge of healing our planet earth. The show is created and produced by SW Florida circus artists, Carla Hyde and Christar Damiano, who have a combined circus experience of over 50 years. Circus Transformus is a celebration of the awakening of the human spirit. This show contains adult themes that may not be suitable for young children. Parental discretion is advised.

Creepy Crawlie Day at Calusa

Fort Myers, FL - A day to learn about everything that creeps, slithers, and crawls! The event will feature our reptile, amphibian and insect friends that may get a bad reputation for being 'creepy'. We'll have crafts and activities for the whole family, as well as a food trucks on site and live animal encounters!

Dueling Piano Bar Night at Millennial

Fort Myers, FL - Dueling pianos in Downtown Fort Myers are back! They put on one amazing show and will be joined by 4 food trucks, fresh craft beer on tap, beer and cocktails. Dinner starts at 5pm, Pianos start at 7pm. Get there early to get seats as it fills up fast. If you are coming later, bring a folding chair and find a spot inside to relax and enjoy the show.

Arts in August at Fishermen's Village

Punta Gorda, FL - Enjoy the day at Fishermen’s Village as they host elite artists from the Visual Arts Center for the 2nd annual “Arts in August”! Explore original creations by local artists of all trades. Enjoy live demonstrations in pottery and more. Artists will line the promenade throughout Fishermen’s Village, so plan on browsing, shopping and dining during this eclectic event. Free admission / Free parking. Presented by the Visual Arts Center, live demonstrations, Fine arts & Crafts vendors on display throughout the Village promenade.
