Another weekend filled with fun activities and events!
We had to expand our regular list of things to do this weekend in Southwest Florida to 10 events! There are lots of fun activities for the entire family to choose from; in the areas of, Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Estero and Naples.
Cape Coral, FL - This event will feature samples from an array of great food from more than 20 local restaurants, plus a wide variety of craft beers, margaritas, and wine. There will be live musical performances from local bands and a Symphony at Sunset.100% of proceeds from this event go directly to local student scholarships and music outreach programs in the community. Admission is free; purchase food and beverage tickets on site.

Cape Coral, FL -This is a family friendly event where kids of all ages can explore and ask questions about their favorite vehicles such as a Fire truck, Grapple truck, Car carrier, Excavator, Dump truck, and Swamp Buggy just to name a few. All participants will receive a passport, and can visit the designated locations for a chance to win a prize. There will be a stage with entertainment, local vendors, and sponsors. Parent supervision is required, and cameras are highly recommended. Admission is free and all donations support the EHL Fragile X Foundation.

Cape Coral, FL - The Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department presents Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle; as part of Movie in the Park series. Free admission; bring your family, a date, a group of friends, or even fly solo as you enjoy a movie under the stars. Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged. Movie starts after the sun goes down. Sunset is approximately 7:45pm, but get there early for a good spot, dinner from food trucks, giveaways and crafts for the kids prior to the movie. Food Trucks - Hapa Grill Teriyaki, Carballo's Catering, Sunny Days Ice Cream Truck. Free popcorn!

Fort Myers, FL - The funnest race you'll ever participate in is back; The Insane Inflatable 5K!. All participants need to be at least 42". There is no minimum age to participate.The Insane Inflatable 5K is a fun and dynamic obstacle course made up solely of inflatables that will challenge you, surprise you, and leave you bouncing back for more. Your registration includes your bib number with corresponding start time, finisher's t-shirt, snack, and a medal. The race and its participants do not get timed. Wear your costume, the crazier the better!

Estero, FL - Join Koreshan State Historic Site for the 3rd annual Calusa Palooza Race on the Estero River and support youth paddling sports in SWFL. Canoe, kayak, and stand up paddles compete in a 4 or 8 mile race and the youth 10 and under compete in a 1 mile race. At this America Canoe Association sanctioned family friendly event, all participants will receive a dri-fit long-sleeved shirt and lunch! Rental equipment is available with advanced registration. Earn some bragging rights and a chance to win the coveted ACA medal! Race proceeds benefit youth programs in southwest Florida.

Fort Myers, FL - The Lee Builders Care will be hosting their 9th annual BBQ, Bands and Brew fundraising event at Centennial Park in downtown Fort Myers. This event will have BBQ from local barbecue vendors that will compete in a BBQ competition. There will also be live music, games, crafts and a barnyard area for children. . All funds raised go directly to Builders Care to aid its mission to provide emergency repairs and construction services to elderly, disabled and economically disadvantaged people who are unable to obtain home repairs through traditional means.

Fort Myers, FL - An evening of Visual Arts Gallery Openings & More. On the first Friday of each month, fourteen art galleries invite locals and visitors to a self-guided walking tour throughout the Downtown Fort Myers River District core and the Gardner's Park area. Art enthusiasts can "Meet the Artists" at most of the art galleries and enjoy the live art demonstrations throughout the River District!

Fort Myers, FL - Aviation Day is an annual community event hosted by the Lee County Port Authority with the purpose of increasing awareness of our airports – Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Page Field (FMY). Attractions will include experimental, antique and general aviation aircraft exhibits, airplane and helicopter rides, children’s activities including bounce houses, clowns and face painting, demonstrations by airport police and fire departments, aviation-themed shopping and exhibitors and refreshments!There will be two featured aircraft at this year’s event – a Douglas C-54E and a FG-1D Corsair. Aviation Day visitors will step back in time as they view a flying museum and memorial housed in the interior of this original aircraft.

Naples, FL -Swamp Buggy Racers return to compete for the Budweiser Cup Championship. The Bud-Cup Finale is prime for great racing action, as the drivers push their custom built machines to the limit on the Mile-O-Mud! The only place in the world you can see The Swamp Buggy Races is here in Collier County at The Florida Sports Park! This is a family fun events, and there will be food, beer and vendors.
