FORT MYERS, Fla. — Fox 4 is teaming up with the Lee County Black History Society to take a walk down memory lane.

City records indicate Woodlawn Cemetery was established in 1915 on Michigan Avenue in Fort Myers.

The once segregated cemetery is approximately five acres and is the final resting place of many
prominent Fort Myers residents, such as Mrs. Ellen Summerall Tillis and Dr. Ella Piper.
