LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Being the first and only black county commissioner in Lee County, Melvin Morgan made her mark on the community.

Born and raised in the area, this Dunbar High School graduate became the first black social worker in Lee County.

She even has a government building named after her, the Melvin Morgan Constitutional Complex.

Morgan has left an everlasting impact on Southwest Florida.
