LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- We've just received clarification about a woman found at Fort Myers Beach.
A Coast Guard spokesperson tells Fox 4 that the woman was found outside of the water at Fort Myers Beach early Monday.
Our Breaking News Tracker was on the scene at Canal Street and Estero Boulevard, where a helicopter was circling overhead to search for her.
The call came in just before 4 a.m. Monday morning.
Lee County deputies tell us the woman's friends called when they found her clothes, but not her.
They say she's ok.
