CAPE CORAL, Fla-- Police have identified a woman who died after her car crashed into a Cape Coral restaurant.

Officers say 50-year old Rose Marie Edouard was driving her Nissan Xterra when a possible medical episode caused her to lose control of the car Saturday afternoon.

The SUV then crossed the median, jumped the curb, and crashed into FINS Seafood and Dive Bar on Del Prado Boulevard.

First responders rushed her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

One person inside the restaurant was treated for minor injuries.

Police say alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor.

Cape Coral Police shut down Del Prado Boulevard between Cornwallis Parkway and Palaco Grande Parkway for three hours as they were investigating.
