SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. -- A Venice man has claimed the top prize in the Florida Lottery's $1,000 A Week For Life game.
According to the Florida Lottery, 73-year-old Wade Adams bought the winning $2 scratch-off ticket at the Wawa on Jacaranda Boulevard, just off Interstate 75.
He chose to take the one-time lump-sum payment of $810,000.
The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
