I grew up in a town known for its baseball, for its vast array of great restaurants, and also known as The Gateway To The West ~ St. Louis, Missouri.
As a kid, I practiced news casting and play-by-play at my brother Stephen's baseball games; Fast forward a few years, I hit the "big time" (in my own mind) when I was given the opportunity to interview my favorite MLB manager Tony La Russa, attended a red carpet movie premiere as correspondent rubbing elbows with my favorite celebrities and went on to intern at the TV stations I grew up watching.
I worked in reality casting in the Windy City; Apparently Chicago's weather wasn't cold enough for me, so I bought a heavier coat, lots of socks, and moved to North Dakota to anchor & produce the news there!
Many's the day, viewers could catch me in white-out conditions shooting stories outside as a back-pack journalist; I quickly learned to wear multiple-layers under that heavy coat.
From North Dakota to Central Illinois, I landed at the NBC affiliate leading the desk on a two hour morning show; by afternoon I was anchoring and producing the midday news.
My heart bleeds for animal advocacy; I served on the Board of Directors for the Souris Valley Animal Shelter. One day I hope to make punishment stronger for people who abuse animals.
When I'm not broadcasting you might catch me out at a baseball or hockey game, or volunteering at my local animal shelter. If you happen to see me in your area, say hi, let's talk!
