LEE COUNTY, Fla.  -- New developments in the case of a Lee County girl who vanished nearly a year ago. A second search in central Florida has led to a dead end.

Diana Alvarez disappeared from her San Carlos Park home last May. The prime suspect in her disappearance, Jorge Guerrero, remains in jail and is facing child-porn charges.

Last June, Lee County deputies searched for clues in Osceola County, near where Guerrero's car broke down shortly before he was arrested. This week, deputies searched the area again, but with no luck.

This second search was launched due to dry conditions in the area, since the initial search was done when the area was very wet and covered with underbrush.

Investigators allegedly found lewd images of Diana on Guerrero's phone, and he allegedly admitted to engaging in sexual activity with her after he moved into a spare bedroom in her home.
