A Fort Myers Beach man is facing 3 counts of DUI after crashing his truck into a building.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, 47-year-old Robert Johnson crashed into the Teeki Hut shop along Fifth Street and San Carlos Boulevard on Monday night.

Detectives say Johnson knocked out two street signs and caused debris to fly into two nearby vehicles, as well as two pedestrians. The pedestrians were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Johnson destroyed a guard rail and crashed into a cement pillar at the end of the building. Investigators say his blood alcohol level was over five times the legal limit.

Spring breakers who walked past the area were surprised by Johnson's blood alcohol level.  "You could be walking on the sidewalk and a car could just come up and hit you, that's scary!," said Nigalae Brown.

Johnson is facing three misdemeanor DUI charges.
