A Collier County man is behind bars, accused of having sex with a minor.  Deputies say he used the website Omegle to lure the girl, between 12 and 15 years old to his home in Golden Gate.

"There was I think two crime scene vans and three undercover cops, and a bunch of normal cops," said Jerry Chevalier, who lives nearby.

36-year-old Scott Prince was arrested Saturday.  He's charged with lewd and lascivious battery, child abuse and showing obscene material to a child.

According to the police report, Prince had sex with the girl in the parking lot near the Bob Evans on Immokalee Road and at his home several times between December and January 22nd.

On Omegle's home page, the site says it "picks someone at random, and allows you to chat anonymously."

"When you look at the website, one of the first things it says is talk to strangers, and that's the thing we're always telling kids not to do," said CEO of the Children's Advocacy Center Jacqueline Stephens.

The Naples based center specializes in the intervention and prevention of child abuse.

Some of the staff at the center are familiar with Omegle.  Stephens says parents need to be in constant communication with their children about what sites and apps they are browsing.

"Now -a-days when you have that cell phone in your hand, you can't see what kids are doing.  With these types of websites, that's just really dangerous for kids."

But word about Omegle may already be out on the streets.

"I have a cousin that goes on that site," said Chevalier.  "I heard it's a place where random people start chatting with each other."

The Collier County Sheriff's Office says the case against Prince remains open, and there may be other victims.
