FORT MYERS, Fla. - Lee County Domestic Animal Services is seeking to find homes for 30 Maltese dogs recently taken in from an overwhelmed caregiver.

The dogs range in age from puppies to seven years old. Anyone interested in adopting one of the dogs should go to the shelter and complete an application. The dogs will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The dogs are being vaccinated, sterilized and bathed and will be made available as they are processed through Animal Services Veterinary Clinic. Whether a puppy or adult, anyone adopting should be aware that they will all need to be house trained.

The adoption center is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  It is located at 5600 Banner Drive in Fort Myers.
