Fox 4 Chief Meteorologist Derek Beasley is in Wilmington, North Carolina today to observe conditions as Hurricane Florence makes landfall.
Florence officially made landfall at 7:15 AM near Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina as a Category 1 hurricane. Despite the Category 1 classification, Beasley describes this storm as a "monster" with the potential for life-threatening storm surge and catastrophic rain continuing in the Carolinas.
