At 6:30 p.m. Sunday, the Collier County Public Utilities Department enacted a boil water notice for all customers of the Collier County Water District including Goodland.

This boil water notice is a result of Hurricane Irma's impact on the water infrastructure.

You are advised to boil water until further notice. This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until water system repairs and acceptable bacteriological testing has been completed. The testing is scheduled to be completed as water repairs are finished.

As a precaution, you are advised to boil all water used for drinking or cooking. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

Once satisfactory results have been received, you will receive written notification.

Questions should be directed to the Collier County Water Department at (239) 252-2380.

The Collier County Information Hotline remains active 24-hours a day. Residents with questions may call the Hotline at (239) 252-8444 (within Collier County residents may dial 311). Please note, the call volume is very heavy and information can also be found at colliergov.net or social media channels, including Facebook (www.facebook.com/CollierGov) and Twitter (@CollierPIO).
