Hurricane season beings June 1, but we all know that Mother Nature does not pay attention to calendars. The National Hurricane Center issued a Special Tropical Outlook Wednesday morning for a surface trough of low pressure near the Bahamas. A surface trough is basically an area of elongated low pressure that hasn't closed off to form a surface low pressure. This trough will continue moving westward through the day with scattered showers in the forecast through the day Thursday along with occasionally breezy conditions. This system has NO chance for developing as it approaches Florida. There is a low chance for development as it moves away from the area into the Atlantic by this weekend, but that looks unlikely at this point.
