FORT MYERS, Fla. — A national day honoring sugary, doughy treats is being celebrating this week across Southwest Florida.
National Donut Day is Friday, June 5.
Duck Donuts in Fort Myers, Estero, and Naples is making fun plans for people to enjoy.
The donut shop is using their smartphone app to offer customers a free treat.
They say all registered Duck Donuts Rewards members will receive a free cinnamon sugar donut offer they can redeem June 5-7.
They'll be joining several participating donut shops, like Dunkin and Krispy Kreme.
