Goodbye snowy Northeast and hello Sunshine state!

Originally from Kennett Square, PA (the mushroom capital of the world), I am very excited to call Southwest Florida my new home and to be part of the Fox4 News team as a weekday multi-media journalist.

Before joining the Fox4 News team, I spent a year in Yuma, Arizona as a bilingual multi-media journalist for the Telemundo/NBC and CBS affiliates. Although the desert southwest had beautiful sunsets, I'm thrilled to enjoy Southwest Florida's sandy beaches!

While in Yuma, I had the opportunity to cover a broad range of stories that included Border Security, E-coli outbreaks, and Marine Corps Air Station Yuma trainings.

I became a journalist to connect with people from all walks of life who either want to be heard or to be informed. The trust people put in me to tell their stories makes me proud to do what I love.

I attended Full Sail University in Florida, where I graduated in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Media Communications. Shortly after, I interned at WKMG-TV in Orlando, so needless to say I am happy to be back where it all started!

On my free time, I enjoy exploring new restaurants, reading a good romance novel, taking my dog for long walks, and spending time with my family and friends.

I am thrilled to get to know the Southwest Florida community, so feel free to send me news tips through my email, sandra.rodriguez@fox4now.com , or visit me on Facebook and Twitter!
