LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Sure, they’ve got plenty of sweet treats on the menu at Kreips and Juices in Cape Coral, but you really should throw your old school idea of what a crepe is out the door when you dine here!

“We’re not a French concept,” explains owner, Max Izquierdo. “We call it a crepe with an American twist”.

Izquierdo came up with idea for his restaurant, Kreips and Juices, to have a fresh, healthy meal with less bread but all the flavor. Savory crepes are one of their specialties.

“We put chicken, bacon, we do buffalo chicken we have a chicken bacon ranch and a burger crepe,” he explains.

That doesn’t even skim the surface of all the tasty combos you can try there.

They have smoothies, juices extracted on the spot, super fruit bowl and rice bowls. None of it lacks any flavor thanks to Max and his family’s creativity with them menu and a touch of his childhood mixed in.

“I grew up eating Peruvian food and also Cuban food,” Izquierdo says. “So, what we try to do here is just implement different nationalities into the crepe. We try to bring different flavors in so everybody can have a little bit of what they are used to having”.

The House Rice Bowl is one that you want to try! It’s a dish that knocked the socks off Fox 4 Morning Anchor, Amy Wegmann. It has fresh spinach, cilantro rice, seasoned onions, grilled chicken breast and the sauce that can only be described as liquid gold according to her.

“It's a Peruvian sauce,” Izquierdo says. “My background is Peruvian. It’s a Huancaina sauce. Usually, it’s used with potatoes, so we made a sauce kind of like that. It brings in three different cheeses and milk,” he adds.

All the fresh vegetables and produce are delivered from Immokalee each week. Izquierdo says it’s important to keep business in SWFL and give back to the community.

If you’re not sure what to order when you get there you could take a page out of Max’s book. His favorites re the house rice bowl and the Churassco bowl which has skirt steak, yellow rice, lettuce, tomato, onion, and their amazing chimichurri sauce.

If you can’t stop by in person, they delivery within a 5-mile radius of the restaurant on Del Prado Blvd in Cape Coral. They also work with Doordash and Uber Eats!

Enjoy!
