FORT MYERS, Fla. — During the pandemic, a record number of people have flocked to the waterways for a safe way to enjoy the outdoors.

In this segment, Freedom Boat Club says they've seen a surge of families seeking solace and safety at 19 of their local marinas across Southwest Florida.

Their members pay an annual fee to access a variety of boats, services, and unlimited training.

"The marina operation center has done a terrific job of keeping a fleet of, here in southwest Florida, over 600 boats operating so our members can get out on the water as much as possible," said Nick Gosselin with Freedom Boat Club.

He says the club is closed on the day of Christmas, but booking for Christmas eve is almost full.
