CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Downtown Cape Coral is preparing for their first Business Gift-or-Treat on Saturday.

South Cape Hospitality & Entertainment Associations says they hope families come out to enjoy festive decorations, photobooths, and special treats at the free event.

"They get to do something fun. They’ll be outside. It’s not going to be a lot of crowds so it’s safe, free, and fun for the kids," said Alison Polo, VP of South Cape Hospitality & Entertainment Associations.

Around 20 local businesses are planning to participate, including Pawty Depot pet supply shop.

This holiday season, SCHEA reminds people that shopping local is a gift that gives back.

With the impact Covid-19 has had on small businesses, they say business owners appreciate shoppers more than ever.

"Remember, small businesses are the heartbeat of the community," said Polo.

SCHEA has posted an updated map of all the locations here.
