PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. — Buffalo Wings and Rings of North Port, Port Charlotte, and Fort Myers say they're adjusting to a new norm due to the coronavirus.
Co-owner David Bourlier says they've had to make new changes and tough decisions during the lockdowns.
The restaurants are now adding new curbside, delivery, and menu options.
As a result of COVID-19, they're also offering new family of four packs as a more affordable bulk meal option.
“It’s pretty much changed everything. I mean it’s curbside pick up. It’s if they want to come in we sanitize. It’s laying off every single one of my employees at all three of my stores and holding onto the managers because they couldn’t survive on unemployment," said Bourlier.
The restaurants were approved for the Paycheck Protection Program so now they're waiting in line to hire back employees.
The owner says they've been rolling with the punches but can't wait to get their staff and customers back together again.
His restaurants support several local sport teams, clubs, and fundraisers in the community every year.
"I think that’s why we’re doing okay still because we’ve been in the community so much and they’re supporting us. I get people every day that ask when are you guys going to open, I’m so glad you’re here, and we want to eat out as much as we can with you. It’s absolutely amazing. Our customers have been amazing," said Bourlier.
