PORT CHARLOTTE, Fl., - A Charlotte County woman claims a Social Security Administration employee used his position to get her number and text her.
It started with a text, "hey."
"It was really just really odd. He was saying he saw me and thought if I don't say something I'm going to regret it," said Ashley Guzman.
Guzman says the texts came 20 minutes after she left the Port Charlotte Social Security office.
"He said once I had your name, it was easy to find your information - I was flabbergasted," Guzman said.
In the texts, Foster writes to Guzman, "I saw you and inquired about you."
"I've never seen him before in my life," Guzman said.
An awkward situation Guzman and others are finding themselves in.
"I posted it to Facebook and probably got 6 or 7 people saying he's done the same thing to them," Guzman said.
One woman posted on Facebook, "He did the same thing to me, messaged me within minutes of me leaving the office." Foster writes to her, "You came into my office today….I'd be interested in getting to know you if you are ok with that."
In a public Facebook post, Foster sees no reason to apologize, writing, "I am not going to apologize for attempting to meet a decent person in this area who isn't a druggie or deadbeat."
Four In Your Corner reached out to the Social Security Administration to see if the agency is investigating Foster's actions.
In an email statement, a spokesperson says, "We take any allegations of misconduct by our employees seriously and investigate accordingly. We cannot discuss specific personnel matters."
"I would just like to see them take some form of action to see to help protect the women and make them feel safe going into the Social Security Administration," Guzman said.
