LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Authorities are looking for suspects they say used spray paint to vandalize dozens of vehicles and houses overnight in Lehigh Acres.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, the first series of cars and garage doors were damaged in the early morning hours of Saturday in the 5000-5300 blocks of 3rd Street West and Kenneth Avenue North.  Surveillance cameras on one home captured images of a male and female suspect lurking around a vehicle, spray painting various vulgarities and phrases on the car, before moving along to the next driveway.

Some of the more commonly used graffiti were the words “Cheater” and “Liar” as well as the letter X.

The next morning, another string of vehicles in the 1000-1100 block of Alaska Avenue were damaged in the same fashion.

In total, 31 cars and four garage doors were damaged over the course of the two day weekend.

Detectives say the suspect’s vehicle, which appears to be a small dark sedan, may have orange spray paint residue on the passenger side of the car.

Anyone with information on the identity of the two suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip through the P3Tips app.
